CAP Architecture was founded in 2011 by Catherine Peppard. She is a California licensed architect, originally from Ireland. The CAP architectural practice specializes in a diverse range of applications including institutional, educational, mixed-use and commercial. Our team is well-versed in all types of design and construction. We are especially regarded for our commitment to personal service for our clients.

Experience
With professional training and extensive work experience in Ireland, Australia and over 20 years in California, she can take a project from inception (your primary ideas) to completion, either solo or with a team of engineers and consultants, depending on the complexity of your project.

A client will have an assignment — where a building space is no longer code compliant — or perhaps a building space is no longer adequate for the current or future functions and requires modifications. We provide the insights, solutions, direction and the clarity. And because we have done this many times before — on-time and on-budget, we know where to go and what to do to proceed as expediently as possible. Our goal is to make our clients rest easy at night.

Our client requested a full, comprehensive assessment and report on three high-security buildings. It took days of meticulous site visits, notes and observation to create a synopsis of the current and future conditions of the buildings and the associated facilities.

An avant-garde themed, white concrete structure requiring a vertical addition that would blend seamlessly with the existing structure.

Anaheim Outdoor Theater
A large, open-aired theater that needed sun shade erected high enough so that it would not block any sight-lines to the stage. The resultant design of multiple triangular shaped fabric shades, up to 40’ long, required 22’ high steel posts in 15’ deep concrete footings.
